Guided by Faith, Led by Compassion

About Me

Hello, my name is Dionne. On this page you will find information about me to help you decide if I might be the right counsellor or supervisor for you. If you think we might be a good fit, have a look at my other pages to find out more about the services I offer and how to contact me for an initial chat.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2012, and have been a qualified supervisor since 2022. I have over 17 years’ experience working with and supporting young people within a secondary school setting in a variety of roles including mentoring, deputy safeguarding lead and counsellor.

In addition to my work with young people I also have a variety of experience working with adults, from helping roles right through to clinical supervision, and across a number of sectors and settings, including education, charity, NHS, church and private practice.

Whether I am working with a young person or adult, my passion is helping others to find peace and healing so that they can live free and fulfilled lives.

We will work together to create a space that feels safe for you to explore the issues impacting your life and/or work. All my work is confidential, please see the counselling page for further details on my confidentiality policy.

I work in a trauma-informed way, recognising that each person’s experience of trauma and their response to traumatic events and circumstances varies; therefore, it is essential for me to understand your story and how the world looks to you, and respond in a compassionate and non-judgemental way.

As a counsellor I work in an integrative way with a person-centred foundation. This means I adapt how I work to meet each individual’s needs from their therapy but I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship is central to this and must underpin any therapeutic work. Please visit my counselling page for further details.

As a supervisor I believe supervision should be holistic and not just focused on the work you do, but inclusive of who you are and how you are. Supervision can be tailored to your needs session by session, always keeping your clients and/or those you work with, central to our work, but with an understanding that if we look after you and you are ok, you will in turn be able to look after your clients. I offer both 1-1 and group supervision, please visit my supervision page for further details.

My work is underpinned by the biblical principles of faith, hope and love, as well as recognising the role of forgiveness in healing work (1 Corinthians 13:13; Colossians 3:13). I work with adults and young people who are both Christian and non-Christian, so please get in touch for an initial chat if you feel ready to make changes in your life.
